Blue Dibond Aluminium Composite panels, also known as Dilite or Raybond amongst others, are made up of a polyethylene core sandwiched between two thin films of aluminium sheeting. The marriage of metal and plastic comes with many benefits, such as being lightweight and rigid whilst also being rustproof and immune to cracking. This combined with its high tolerance for both high and low temperatures make it an ideal material for signage and lighting purposes both in and outdoors. The fact that these sheets are also wind-proof, water-proof, highly machinable and do not corrode further add to their disposition as a first-rate signage material. Whilst some would say signage is Dibond’s raison d'être, all of its beneficial properties make it well suited to a number of other uses and functions. These functions include, but are in no way limited to cladding, temporary structures and false ceilings.
